At Mid-Autumn the kitchen has sold a seasonal pie-style pastry with an early bird price. The 2024 Moon-Pie had yam paste, pine nuts and a salted egg yolk, from $18.80. The 2026 Lotus Pie has white lotus paste, pine nuts and six salted egg yolks, listed at $58.80 early bird and $78.80 regular.
Mid-Autumn is the season in which the kitchen’s pastry takes a sweet turn. In place of chicken and potato, the seasonal items are filled with paste and egg yolk, in the style of a mooncake, in a crust people already know.

What is the pastry idea?
The kitchen’s page about the 2024 Moon-Pie gives the pastry chef’s idea in a sentence: take the old yam paste, pair it with a crust that is already familiar, and make it the kitchen’s own take on a Mid-Autumn pie. The Moon-Pie was described as creamier than a traditional mooncake, with crunch from the pine nuts and a buttery, crumbly crust. The 2026 Lotus Pie keeps the idea and changes the paste to white lotus.
When do Mid-Autumn pre-orders open?
We do not have a date, and we will not estimate one. What the two years share is an early bird price, which means the start of the window is the cheaper part of it. That is a pattern, not a promise, and it does not extend to any other season. The Don Pie Club has no member pricing.
How should you plan?
- Order early. Both years had early bird pricing, and seasonal items are limited.
- Choose the format. The 2024 Moon-Pie came as a single or a box of four, so it suited gifting. The 2026 Lotus Pie is a single large pie, so it suits sharing.
- Mind the nuts and eggs. Both items contain pine nuts and salted egg yolk. The kitchen states that its products contain nuts, eggs, dairy and gluten.
- Collect from the outlet you chose. The ordering site has no amendments or cancellations after payment.
- Remember the dietary position. No pork, no lard, not Halal-certified.
